The Safe Cig is an electronic cigarette that is on the rise.
The Black Battery uses the same internal components as our white battery that The Safe Cig has spent years developing and perfecting. The process to create a glistening black battery seemed simple at first, until we realized the challenges our competitors faced. We simply would not settle for a black battery that peeled paint and rubbed off onto people’s hands and fingers, and we refused to put our name on a product with sub-par cosmetic problems.
Once we asked ourselves which industry could teach us about the best painting processes, we immediately knew we needed to take some notes from the automotive industry. We contacted one of the biggest and most well respected automobile makers in Germany and asked them to give us some lessons in “fine painting” 101. Lucky for us, they graciously agreed to help. We learned several things including how certain metals react to certain paints, mixing processes and clear coating.
To say the least, we wanted our Black Battery to be perfect and we think that is exactly what we have here in our hands today. Each of our Black Batteries go through a intense bath of cleansers that removes any impurities from the metal. After drying, each cylinder is hand-buffed to perfection. From there, they enter a paint booth designed just for The Safe Cig’s Black Battery. In this booth, we spray each and every battery with a top of the line black paint seen on most high-end cars today. We then put each battery into a large oven and allow the paint to bake into the cylinder. When finished, the battery is again buffed by hand before we apply 2 layers of the highest quality clear coat to each cylinder. This is when the black battery comes to life and gets that gleaming, show-room shine. Once the clear coat dries, we then apply our logo into the paint work and hand polish each completed battery one last time to bring out that gorgeous black piano finish. The Black Battery is then ready to be loaded with its hardware and the software is ready to be uploaded. For the finishing touch, we added a beautiful Azure blue LED tip to the end of the battery, putting its look of elegance and class over the top.
